Man Utd – Derby: 4 – 1

First I would like to congratulate Giggs for making his 100th Premier League goal! What a career this guy has had!I think that this was a rather poor game but considering the poor weather conditions you should perhaps not require great football. United started the game quite slowly and Derby had more possession and created some half chances. It almost look like the players were a bit nervous and they gave away the ball easily at several occasions. Derby is a team that I don’t think will be playing in the Premier League next season. They really don’t have the players to succeed at this level and their defending is just terrible. Some of the United goals came from horrible defending errors, i.e. when they allowed Tevez to make his second goal of the game. No one really attacked him so he had time to place the ball in the far corner. It was nice to see Ronaldo continue his scoring, although it was on a penalty that I think he didn’t deserve. I really think he’s one of the best  players in the world but I don’t like when he goes down as easy as he did when he was awarded a penalty. Before the game I thought that Rooney would score again for the first time since his second injury of the season. Well he didn’t score but he had two great opportunities to do so and honestly he should probably have scored on both.  All in all it was a good result, especially considering the fact that Reading beat Liverpool by 3 -1. Also, at this very moment Arsenal are down with one goal on the Riverside Stadium…come on Boro!
